Notation Player is a MIDI, KAR, and NOT file player. It can edit the sheet music of MIDI files, add signatures and staff notation, and change time signature figures, among other features.
It allows you to display and print MIDI files in sheet music form. The principle behind the MIDI music format is that the source file only contains one or more streams of musical score information, where each note corresponds to a standard sound in your computer's sound card. When a player reads a MIDI file, it retrieves, processes, and synthesizes these sounds from the sound card.
The program enables you to view MIDI music files (.mid, .kar, or .not) in sheet music format while playing them. For example, you can download your favorite songs in .mid format and open them in the program. This feature allows playback note by note, which is extremely useful for musicians learning a new piece, as you can click with the mouse to replay specific measures.
