Freemake Video Converter is a powerful, free video conversion software that supports a wide range of audio, video, DVD, and image formats. Its primary output formats include AVI, MP4, WMV, MKV, 3GP, DVD, Blu-ray, MP3, YouTube, and device-specific formats for iPod, iPhone, iPad, Android, and more—making it an exceptional tool for users in need of versatile conversion capabilities. Don’t miss out if this software fits your needs!
Freemake Video Converter Software Features
Limitations of Freemake Video Converter: The video editing features are relatively basic, supporting only simple functions like trimming and flipping. Output settings cannot be customized—users must rely on the built-in presets.
If you're simply splitting a video file, make sure to set the output format to "Same as Source Video" in the output settings. This avoids re-encoding during the split, resulting in extremely fast processing. However, note that the software has poor support for RM/RMVB files—it can only split and convert them to other formats, not save clips directly as RM/RMVB.

How to Use Freemake Video Converter
Usage Tips
If you add two or more video files at once, you can choose whether to merge them into a single file after conversion.
The software includes a video cutting feature, allowing you to convert only selected segments. If the original video has issues such as inverted orientation, you can correct them here.
After clicking “Convert to XXX Format,” you’ll see an “Edit Preset” button. This provides an intuitive way to adjust the output video to full screen without distortion. It’s highly recommended to use the “Scale/Crop” option.
However, if the original video already contains black bars (letterboxing), these cropping settings may not work perfectly—the black bars might still remain. On the upside, if subtitles are embedded within the black bars, this method helps preserve them intact.
