Description

Editor's Review

A tiny but surprisingly effective tool for removing stubborn locked files.

Delete On Reboot is a small and effective free software program that gracefully deletes non-erasable files, directories, and subfolders when your Windows computer restarts. You don't need to install the Delete.On.Reboot tool; simply place it on your desktop and drag and drop files onto Delete.On.Reboot.exe to get started. It can also be used as a portable application under Windows.

Unlike the radical method of using ThisIsMyFile to delete locked files, this is a conventional process. Provided by Microsoft on all Windows OSes, but here you can still move files to directories, for example, to check for possible culprit files. You can also add the free software tool to the Explorer context menu via the Extras menu, which will remove all objects from the list view from your Windows PC upon restart. If necessary, objects that shouldn't be deleted can be removed from the list view so they aren't deleted when your Windows PC restarts.
