GlassWire (Graphical Computer Network Security Tool) is a powerful computer network security tool that is both highly effective and user-friendly. GlassWire monitors all malicious behavior occurring in your computer's network activity, effectively helping to prevent infections and other security threats.
Function Overview
GlassWire features a clean and intuitive interface with four main tabs: Graph, Firewall, Usage, and Alerts. The Graph tab displays real-time network traffic, breaking it down into total bandwidth usage and a list of programs currently using the network. You can also review traffic over different time periods. If you notice any unfamiliar, suspicious, or unsafe program, simply go to the Firewall tab and click the flame icon next to the program name to immediately block it.
Most importantly, GlassWire alerts you with a pop-up notification in the lower-right corner whenever a program attempts to connect to the internet for the first time. It also warns you when network settings are changed—essentially alerting you to any network activity changes—giving you complete visibility into your computer's network behavior. GlassWire is suitable not only for beginners but also for advanced users, thanks to features like remote control and network stealth mode.

Visualized Network Monitoring
Use GlassWire’s simple and intuitive interface to view all current and historical network activity. Click on the graph to see which applications are generating incoming or outgoing bandwidth, and instantly identify what services or hosts those applications are communicating with. Hosts are automatically resolved, including their country of origin. Click on an application and filter by traffic type to break down network activity in detail.
GlassWire enhances your computer or server’s security by visualizing all past and present network data in an easy-to-understand graph. Instantly see every application or process communicating with the internet, then dig deeper to discover exactly who or what your computer is communicating with. GlassWire notifies you with a subtle alert whenever any new application on your system attempts to access the network—without interrupting your workflow or server operations.
GlassWire also includes a network security toolkit featuring system file change detection, device list change detection, application information change detection, and ARP spoofing monitoring—and this is just the beginning. The software also alerts you if your computer or server attempts to communicate with a known malicious IP address or domain. We are continuously working to add more intrusion detection rules to GlassWire in the future.
Unfortunately, comprehensive malware detection and perfect network intrusion detection do not yet exist. Our software is not flawless, but we believe that by combining GlassWire’s network visualization, firewall management, and monitoring rules, we can make a strong contribution to the ongoing fight against spyware and malware.
